In Thursday's league match, the visiting Lyons Lions flag football team scored a big 39-7 win over the Leyden Eagles.
With the win, Lyons improves its record to 15-2 on the season. The Lions host Hillcrest (Country Club Hills, IL) to play the Hawks in a non-league battle on Saturday, October 4. The Hawks go into the battle with a record of 13-4. Hillcrest won 42-12 in their recent non-league battle against Reavis (Burbank, IL)
The Eagles now have a 0-9 record. They play next when they travel to Niles North for a non-league battle on Monday, October 6. Leyden will play a Vikings team coming off a 21-0 league win over Niles West (Skokie, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 7-8.
