Luella Lions (Luella, GA) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their flag football team nip the visiting Sandy Creek Patriots (Tyrone, GA), 7-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Luella advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Lions host Miller Grove (Lithonia, GA) to confront the Wolverines in a non-league match on Thursday, October 2. The Wolverines come into the match with a record of 0-1. Miller Grove lost 20-0 in their recent non-league match against Redan (Stone Mountain, GA)
