Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the North Montgomery Chargin' Chargers (Crawfordsville, IN) and the host Beech Grove Hornets (Beech Grove, IN), saw North Montgomery's soccer squad hold off Beech Grove by a count of 2-1.
The Chargin' Chargers (10-5) will now prepare for their match against Lebanon (Lebanon, IN). The Tigers come into the non-league match with a 10-3 record. In their last match, Lebanon Harrison (West Lafayette, IN), 1-1, in a league match.
The Hornets now sport a 4-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Indian Creek for a non-league match on Tuesday, October 7. Beech Grove will battle a Braves squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Bethesda Christian (Brownsburg, IN). The Braves record now stands at 4-10.
