In Thursday's non-league contest, the West Carter Comets (Olive Hill, KY) soccer team edged the visiting Fleming County Panthers (Flemingsburg, KY), by a count of 1-0.
Coming up next, the Comets encounter the Morgan County Cougars (West Liberty, KY) in a District 62 challenge, on Tuesday, October 7. West Carter will attempt to better on its 6-10 season record. The Cougars go into the challenge with a 7-9 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Bath County (Owingsville, KY).
With the loss, Fleming County moves to 6-11 on the year. The Panthers host Rowan County (Morehead, KY) to battle the Vikings in a District 61 battle on Monday, October 6. The Vikings enter the battle with a record of 4-10.
