In Thursday's league outing, the visiting Robert C. Byrd Eagles soccer squad scored a tight 3-0 victory over the Preston Knights.

The Eagles (10-4) will now prepare for their outing against Grafton (Grafton, WV). The Bearcats go into the Big Ten outing with a 4-10 record. In their last outing, Grafton by Brooke (Wellsburg, WV), 6-2, in a league outing.

Next up, the Knights play the Philip Barbour Colts (Philippi, WV) in a Big Ten outing, on Tuesday, October 7. Preston will attempt to advance on its 7-6 season record. The Colts come into the game with a 1-13 record after their 7-0 non-league loss to University (Morgantown, WV).
