Murrieta Valley Nighthawks (Murrieta, CA) boosters were content Thursday as they observed their football squad smash the visiting Norco Cougars (Norco, CA), 51-14 in a league match.

The Nighthawks (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Chaparral (Temecula, CA). The Pumas come into the match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Chaparral routed Vista Murrieta (Murrieta, CA), 30-13, in a league match.

Next up, the Cougars play the Roosevelt Mustangs (Eastvale, CA) in a battle, on Thursday, October 9. Norco will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Mustangs go into the battle with a 0-3 record after their 48-6 league loss to Centennial (Corona, CA).
