The North Pitt Panthers felled the visiting North Lenoir Hawks football squad by a count of 24-8 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Panthers now hold a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to SouthWest Edgecombe for a non-league test on Thursday, October 9. North Pitt will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 28-20 non-league win over Eastern Wayne (Goldsboro, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 4-2.
With the defeat, North Lenoir drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Hawks host Washington (Washington, NC) to face the Pam Pack in a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 9. The Pam Pack go into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Washington won 22-8 in their recent non-league challenge against North Johnston (Kenly, NC)
