The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) and the visiting Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC), witnessed Porter Ridge's football squad wallop Piedmont by a count of 38-6.

The Pirates (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Mavericks enter the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Marvin Ridge was crushed by Weddington (Matthews, NC), 41-14, in a non-league battle.
