Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Ambassador Christian School Lions (Huntersville, NC), 4-1 in a non-league bout.

The Lions now possess a 13-2 record. They play next when they travel to Cannon for a NCISAA Charlotte bout on Tuesday, October 7.

With the loss, Ambassador Christian School moves to 6-4 on the year. The Lions travel to Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association (Concord, NC) to play the Stallions in a non-league bout on Monday, October 13. The Stallions go into the bout with a record of 13-2. Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association won 6-0 in their recent league bout against Asheville Trailblazers (Asheville, NC)
