In Thursday's league outing, the host Vail Mountain Rangers soccer team scored a close 6-0 triumph over the Basalt Longhorns.

With the triumph, Vail Mountain advances its record to 1-9 on the campaign. The Rangers travel to Battle Mountain (Edwards, CO) to clash with the Huskies in a non-league test on Tuesday, October 7. The Huskies come into the test with a record of 8-2. Battle Mountain won 4-2 in their recent league test against Eagle Valley (Gypsum, CO)

The Longhorns now have a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rifle for a 3A Western Slope test on Thursday, October 9. Basalt will clash with a Bears team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Steamboat Springs (Steamboat Springs, CO). The Bears record now stands at 4-6.
