Downers Grove North Trojans (Downers Grove, IL) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they observed their soccer squad nudge the host Downers Grove South Mustangs (Downers Grove, IL), 2-1 in a non-league outing.

The Trojans (9-9) will now prepare for their outing against Leyden (Franklin Park, IL). The Eagles go into the non-league outing with a 12-3 record. In their last outing, Leyden got by Maine East (Park Ridge, IL), 3-0, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Mustangs confront the Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers (Wheaton, IL) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, October 4. Downers Grove South will attempt to advance on its 3-10 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 6-6 record after their 3-3 league St. Charles North (St. Charles, IL).
