In Thursday's non-league outing, the host St. Pius X Sartans soccer squad scored a tight 3-1 victory over the Los Alamos Hilltoppers.
The Sartans (9-1) will now prepare for their outing against Highland (Albuquerque, NM). The Hornets go into the 4A District 5 outing with a 6-9 record. In their last outing, Highland got by Valencia (Los Lunas, NM), 3-1, in a league outing.
Next up, the Hilltoppers confront the Albuquerque Academy Chargers (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, October 4. Los Alamos will attempt to advance on its 6-6 season record. The Chargers come into the test with a 6-5 record after their 2-1 league win over Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM).
