The Poland Knights soccer squad scored 2 points and held the visiting Sacopee Valley Hawks to 1 in the Knights non-league victory on Thursday.
The Knights now possess a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Freeport for a Class B - South game on Saturday, October 4. Poland will face a Falcons team coming off a 1-0 league loss to Fryeburg (Fryeburg, ME). The Falcons record now stands at 2-3.
The Hawks (1-6) will now prepare for their game against Traip (Kittery, ME). The Rangers come into the Class C - South game with a 6-2 record. In their last game, Traip edged North Yarmouth Academy (Yarmouth, ME), 4-1, in a league game.
