Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Little Village Phoenix (Chicago, IL) and the host Curie Condors (Chicago, IL), observed Little Village's volleyball team hold off Curie by a count of 2-1.

The Phoenix (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Morgan Park (Chicago, IL). The Mustangs enter the Chicago Public Red South battle with a 1-6 record.

The Condors now own a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brooks for a Chicago Public Red South battle on Tuesday, October 7. Curie will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Hancock (Chicago, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 8-6.
