The Eureka Hornets volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs to 0 in the Hornets league triumph on Thursday.

The Hornets now have a 18-4 record. They play next when they travel to Pekin for a non-league outing on Saturday, October 4. Eureka will play a Dragons team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Dunlap (Dunlap, IL). The Dragons record now stands at 5-10.

With the loss, Deer Creek-Mackinaw drops to 12-11 on the campaign. The Chiefs travel to Limestone (Bartonville, IL) to play the Rockets in a non-league outing on Saturday, October 4. The Rockets come into the outing with a record of 19-0. Limestone won 2-0 in their recent league outing against East Peoria (East Peoria, IL)
