Indiana High School Volleyball - Evansville Mater Dei over Mt. Vernon

The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats (Evansville, IN) and the host Mt. Vernon Wildcats (Mt. Vernon, IN), observed Evansville Mater Dei's volleyball team overcome Mt. Vernon by a tally of 3-0.

The Wildcats (14-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Castle (Newburgh, IN). The Knights enter the Southern Indiana challenge with a 27-3 record. In their last challenge, Castle beat Terre Haute South Vigo (Terre Haute, IN), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Forest Park Rangers (Ferdinand, IN) in a Pocket challenge, on Saturday, October 4. Mt. Vernon will attempt to upgrade on its 8-14 season record. The Rangers go into the test with a 20-4 record after their 3-2 league loss to North Posey (Poseyville, IN).
