Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Grant Generals (Portland, OR) and the visiting Franklin Quakers (Portland, OR), observed Grant's volleyball team top Franklin by a count of 3-0.

The Generals (12-5) will now prepare for their contest against St. Mary's Academy (Portland, OR). The Blues enter the non-league contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, St. Mary's Academy notched a victory over Tigard (Tigard, OR), 3-1, in a league battle.

The Quakers now own a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Roosevelt for a 6A Portland Interscholastic battle on Monday, October 6. Franklin will encounter a Roughriders squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to McDaniel (Portland, OR). The Roughriders record now stands at 5-9.
