Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Oak Grove Warriors (Hattiesburg, MS) and the visiting George County Rebels (Lucedale, MS), observed Oak Grove's volleyball team hold off George County by a count of 3-2.

The Warriors (18-15) will now prepare for their contest against Harrison Central (Gulfport, MS). The Red Rebels enter the non-league contest with a 16-5 record. In their last contest, Harrison Central got by Pearl River Central (Carriere, MS), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Rebels battle the Picayune Maroon Tide (Picayune, MS) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, October 7. George County will attempt to move on its 27-12 season record. The Maroon Tide go into the battle with a 5-16 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Bay (Bay St. Louis, MS).
