The Emeralds (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Ishpeming (Ishpeming, MI). The Hematites enter the Mid-Peninsula contest with a 12-2 record. In their last contest, Ishpeming notched a victory over Houghton (Houghton, MI), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Patriots battle the Escanaba Eskymos (Escanaba, MI) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, October 4. Westwood will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Eskymos go into the battle with a 8-7 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Iron Mountain (Iron Mountain, MI).
