Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Squalicum Storm (Bellingham, WA) and the host Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA), observed Squalicum's volleyball team top Mt. Baker by a count of 3-1.
The Storm (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Sedro-Woolley (Sedro-Woolley, WA). The Cubs go into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest battle with a 3-5 record. In their last battle, Sedro-Woolley dropped by Sehome (Bellingham, WA), 3-0, in a league battle.
The Mountaineers now own a 0-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Blaine for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest battle on Tuesday, October 7. Mt. Baker will encounter a Borderites squad coming off a 0-0 league Lynden (Lynden, WA). The Borderites record now stands at 3-5.
