In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Peoria Notre Dame Irish volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Richwoods Knights.

The Irish (14-11) will now prepare for their test against Urbana (Urbana, IL). The Tigers go into the Big Twelve test with a 4-16 record. In their last test, Urbana was edged by Fieldcrest (Minonk, IL), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Knights meet the Peoria Lions (Peoria, IL) in a Big Twelve challenge, on Tuesday, October 7. Richwoods will attempt to upgrade on its 8-12 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 1-12 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Springfield Southeast (Springfield, IL).
