In Thursday's non-league match, the Rising Sun Shiners (Rising Sun, IN) volleyball squad prevailed the host South Decatur Cougars (Greensburg, IN), by a final score of 3-1.

Next up, the Shiners confront the Lawrenceburg Tigers (Lawrenceburg, IN) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, October 7. Rising Sun will attempt to advance on its 15-10 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 10-13 record after their 3-1 league win over Franklin County (Brookville, IN).

The Cougars (12-13) will now prepare for their match against Tri (Straughn, IN). The Titans enter the non-league match with a 9-13 record. In their last match, Tri was dropped by Blue River Valley (Mt. Summit, IN), 3-0, in a non-league match.
