The Monroe Redhawks football squad scored 40 points and limited the host West Stanly Colts to 16 in the Redhawks non-league win on Thursday.
The Redhawks now possess a 7-2 record. They play next when they host Forest Hills for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 27. Monroe will play a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 3-0 league win over Central (Pageland, SC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 5-3.
With the loss, West Stanly moves to 3-4 on the season. The Colts host Anson (Wadesboro, NC) to encounter the Bearcats in a non-league outing on Thursday, October 27. The Bearcats go into the outing with a record of 2-7. Anson lost 12-0 in their recent non-league outing against Parkwood (Monroe, NC)
