The Cumberland Clippers topped the host North Smithfield Northmen volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Thursday's league test.

The Clippers now have a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Greenwich for a non-league test on Friday, October 21. Cumberland will confront a Avengers team coming off a 3-0 league win over Mount St. Charles Academy (Woonsocket, RI). The Avengers record now stands at 9-6.

The Northmen (2-11) will now prepare for their test against Barrington (Barrington, RI). The Eagles enter the Division 2 test with a 7-6 record. In their last test, Barrington gained a win over Exeter-West Greenwich (West Greenwich, RI), 3-1, in a league test.
