The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Great Bridge Wildcats (Chesapeake, VA) and the host Deep Creek Hornets (Chesapeake, VA), saw Great Bridge's volleyball squad nip Deep Creek by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Great Bridge upgrades its record to 10-11 on the year.

The Hornets now own a 9-10 record. They play next when they travel to Tallwood for a non-league bout on Friday, October 21. Deep Creek will play a Lions squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Kempsville (Virginia Beach, VA). The Lions record now stands at 12-7.
