In Friday's league game, the Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) football team were victorious over the host West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC), by a score of 22-14.

The Bearcats (5-4) will now prepare for their game against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Yellow Jackets come into the 2A/3A Rocky River game with a 8-1 record. In their last game, Forest Hills knocked off Parkwood (Monroe, NC), 42-0, in a league game.

The Colts now sport a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Monroe for a 2A/3A Rocky River game on Friday, October 27. West Stanly will battle a Redhawks team coming off a 59-0 league win over Piedmont (Monroe, NC). The Redhawks record now stands at 8-1.
