In Friday's league match, the visiting Homer Pelicans football squad scored a big 44-12 victory over the Arcadia Hornets.

In their next game, the Pelicans clash with the Glenbrook Apaches (Minden, LA) in a 1A District 1 match, on Friday, October 27. Homer will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Apaches enter the match with a 7-1 record after their 70-20 league win over Plain Dealing (Plain Dealing, LA).

The Hornets (5-3) will now prepare for their match against Magnolia School of Excellence (Shreveport, LA). The enter the 1A District 1 match with a 1-7 record. In their last match, Magnolia School of Excellence was crushed by Haynesville (Haynesville, LA), 42-0, in a league match.
