The Thornton Academy Trojans football team (Saco, ME), was beaten 38-7 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Bedford Bulldogs (Bedford, NH)
The Bulldogs (8-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Merrimack (Merrimack, NH). The Tomahawks come into the Division I - West challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, Merrimack was beaten by Portsmouth/Oyster River (Portsmouth, NH), 13-7, in a non-league challenge.
The Trojans now sport a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host Scarborough for a A South challenge on Thursday, October 26. Thornton Academy will meet a Red Storm team coming off a 7-0 league loss to South Portland (South Portland, ME). The Red Storm record now stands at 1-9.
