Texas High School Football - Blooming Grove beat Rice

October 20, 2023: Blooming Grove, TX 76626

The Blooming Grove Lions football squad scored 42 points and restricted the visiting Rice Bulldogs to 12 in the Lions league victory on Friday.

The Lions now possess a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Trinity Leadership for a 3A-2 Region II District 7 battle on Friday, November 3. Blooming Grove will face a Tigers squad coming off a 50-13 non-league win over Newman International Academy (Cedar Hill, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 2-6.

Next up, the Bulldogs meet the Palmer Bulldogs (Palmer, TX) in a 3A-2 Region II District 7 challenge, on Friday, October 27. Rice will attempt to better on its 1-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 47-7 league loss to Scurry-Rosser (Scurry, TX).
