The Calhoun City Wildcats topped the host Water Valley Blue Devils football team by a final score of 40-14 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Calhoun City improves its record to 8-0 on the season. The Wildcats host Palmer (Marks, MS) to confront the Dragons in a 2A Region 2 outing on Thursday, October 26. The Dragons go into the outing with a record of 2-6. Palmer lost 39-22 in their recent league outing against Bruce (Bruce, MS)

With the loss, Water Valley moves to 3-6 on the season. The Blue devils travel to Bruce (Bruce, MS) to confront the Trojans in a 2A Region 2 outing on Thursday, October 26. The Trojans go into the outing with a record of 6-3. Bruce won 39-22 in their recent league outing against Palmer (Marks, MS)
