The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Salem Spartans (Salem, VA) and the host Cave Spring Knights (Roanoke, VA), observed Salem's football squad bounce Cave Spring by a count of 51-3.

The Spartans now own a 7-1 record. They play next when they host Christiansburg for a River Ridge contest on Friday, October 27. Salem will play a Blue Demons squad coming off a 30-21 league loss to Patrick Henry (Roanoke, VA). The Blue Demons record now stands at 7-2.

Coming up next, the Knights play the Pulaski County Cougars (Dublin, VA) in a River Ridge game, on Friday, November 3. Cave Spring will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record.
