The Crater Comets held off the visiting Churchill Lancers football team by a final score of 26-24 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Crater improves its record to 3-5 on the season. The Comets travel to South Eugene (Eugene, OR) to confront the Axe in a 5A Special District 2 outing on Friday, October 27. The Axe go into the outing with a record of 2-6. South Eugene lost 41-20 in their recent league outing against Eagle Point (Eagle Point, OR)

With the loss, Churchill moves to 3-5 on the season. The Lancers host Thurston (Springfield, OR) to confront the Colts in a 5A Special District 2 outing on Friday, October 27. The Colts go into the outing with a record of 6-2. Thurston won 63-6 in their recent league outing against Willamette (Eugene, OR)
