Texas High School Football - Hutto sneaks past Copperas Cove

October 20, 2023: Copperas Cove, TX 76522

The Hutto Hippos football squad scored 38 points and restricted the host Copperas Cove Bulldawgs to 33 in the Hippos league victory on Friday.

The Hippos now possess a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bryan for a 6A Region II District 12 battle on Friday, October 27. Hutto will face a Vikings squad coming off a 49-21 league loss to Midway (Waco, TX). The Vikings record now stands at 3-5.

Coming up next, the Bulldawgs face the Harker Heights Knights (Harker Heights, TX) in a 6A Region II District 12 battle, on Thursday, October 26. Copperas Cove will attempt to advance on its 1-7 season record. The Knights enter the battle with a 5-3 record after their 35-21 league win over Temple (Temple, TX).
