In Friday's league game, the Oak Grove Tigers (Bessemer, AL) football team were victorious over the visiting Cordova Blue Devils (Cordova, AL), by a score of 42-21.
The Tigers (5-3) will now prepare for their game against Dora (Dora, AL). The Bulldogs come into the 4A Region 5 game with a 7-2 record. In their last game, Dora knocked off Northside (Northport, AL), 41-27, in a league game.
The Blue Devils now sport a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Curry for a 4A Region 5 game on Friday, October 27. Cordova will meet a Yellowjackets team coming off a 64-7 league loss to Corner (Warrior, AL). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 1-8.
