The Wingate Bears football team (Fort Wingate, NM), was beaten 30-6 in Friday's league challenge with the host Cuba Rams (Cuba, NM)
The Rams (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Crownpoint (Crownpoint, NM). The Eagles come into the 3A District 5 challenge with a 6-3 record. In their last challenge, Crownpoint was beaten by Thoreau (Thoreau, NM), 50-0, in a league challenge.
The Bears now sport a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they host Thoreau for a 3A District 5 challenge on Friday, October 27. Wingate will meet a Hawks team coming off a 50-0 league win over Crownpoint (Crownpoint, NM). The Hawks record now stands at 6-3.
