Decatur Eagles (Decatur, TX) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team nudge the host Springtown Porcupines (Springtown, TX), 23-17 in a league test.

With the win, Decatur improves its record to 5-4 on the season. The Eagles host Mineral Wells (Mineral Wells, TX) to confront the Rams in a 4A-1 Region I District 4 test on Friday, October 27. The Rams go into the test with a record of 3-5. Mineral Wells lost 48-28 in their recent league game against Springtown (Springtown, TX)

The Porcupines now sport a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Burkburnett for a 4A-1 Region I District 4 game on Friday, October 27. Springtown will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 44-28 league win over Wichita Falls (Wichita Falls, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-5.
