The La Joya Coyotes football team (La Joya, TX), was beaten 41-27 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Edinburg Bobcats (Edinburg, TX)

The Bobcats (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Edinburg North (Edinburg, TX). The Cougars come into the 6A Region IV District 31 challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Edinburg North was beaten by Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (San Juan, TX), 41-12, in a league challenge.

The Coyotes now sport a 0-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Economedes for a 6A Region IV District 31 challenge on Thursday, October 26. La Joya will meet a Jaguars team coming off a 59-7 league loss to Mission (Mission, TX). The Jaguars record now stands at 0-8.
