Texas High School Football - Elysian Fields topples Hughes Springs

October 20, 2023: Hughes Springs, TX 75656

The Elysian Fields Yellowjackets (Elysian Fields, TX) football defeated the host Hughes Springs Mustangs (Hughes Springs, TX), 26-0 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Yellowjackets face the New Diana Eagles (Diana, TX) in a 3A-2 Region III District 11 bout, on Friday, October 27. Elysian Fields will attempt to move on its 2-7 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 5-2 record after their 55-8 league win over Hughes Springs (Hughes Springs, TX).

The Mustangs (0-8) will now prepare for their bout against Queen City (Queen City, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 3A-2 Region III District 11 bout with a 4-4 record. In their last bout, Queen City was toppled by Daingerfield (Daingerfield, TX), 62-0, in a league bout.
