The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Halifax Wildcats (Halifax, PA) and the host Newport Buffaloes (Newport, PA), observed Halifax's football squad thwart Newport by a count of 46-22.

The Wildcats now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Trinity for a non-league contest on Friday, October 27. Halifax will play a Shamrocks squad coming off a 42-37 league loss to Steelton-Highspire (Steelton, PA). The Shamrocks record now stands at 6-3.

Coming up next, the Buffaloes play the James Buchanan Rockets (Mercersburg, PA) in a Mid-Penn - Liberty contest, on Friday, October 27. Newport will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Rockets go into the contest with a 1-8 record after their 48-6 league loss to Susquenita (Duncannon, PA).
