The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Saucon Valley Panthers (Hellertown, PA) and the visiting Lehighton Indians (Lehighton, PA), observed Saucon Valley's football squad edge Lehighton by a count of 14-13.

The Panthers now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Palisades for a non-league contest on Friday, October 27. Saucon Valley will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 42-7 league loss to Catasauqua (Catasauqua, PA). The Pirates record now stands at 2-7.

Coming up next, the Indians encounter the Jim Thorpe Olympians (Jim Thorpe, PA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, October 27. Lehighton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Olympians go into the contest with a 3-6 record after their 29-6 league win over Northern Lehigh (Slatington, PA).
