North Carolina High School Football - Monroe trounces Piedmont

October 20, 2023: Monroe, NC 28110

In Friday's league match, the visiting Monroe Redhawks football squad scored a big 59-0 victory over the Piedmont Panthers.

In their next game, the Redhawks clash with the West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) in a 2A/3A Rocky River match, on Friday, October 27. Monroe will attempt to move on its 8-1 season record. The Colts enter the match with a 5-4 record after their 22-14 league loss to Anson (Wadesboro, NC).

The Panthers (1-8) will now prepare for their match against Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Wolf Pack enter the 2A/3A Rocky River match with a 1-8 record. In their last match, Parkwood was crushed by Forest Hills (Marshville, NC), 42-0, in a league match.
