The Point Pleasant Big Blacks (Point Pleasant, WV) football edged the visiting Robert C. Byrd Eagles (Clarksburg, WV), 14-7 in Friday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Big Blacks face the Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV) in a Coalfield AA game, on Friday, October 27. Point Pleasant will attempt to better on its 4-4 season record. The Vikings come into the game with a 1-8 record after their 33-18 league loss to Shady Spring (Shady Spring, WV).
The Eagles now sport a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they host Liberty for a Big Ten game on Friday, October 27. Robert C. Byrd will meet a Mountaineers team coming off a 21-16 league loss to Lincoln (Shinnston, WV). The Mountaineers record now stands at 5-3.
