In Friday's league game, the Westminster Academy Crusaders (Opelousas, LA) football team were victorious over the visiting Sacred Heart Trojans (Ville Platte, LA), by a score of 23-14.
The Crusaders (5-3) will now prepare for their game against St. Edmund (Eunice, LA). The Fighting Blue Jays come into the 1A District 6 game with a 6-2 record. In their last game, St. Edmund was knocked off by Catholic of Pointe Coupee (New Roads, LA), 36-20, in a league game.
The Trojans now sport a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they host Opelousas Catholic for a 1A District 6 game on Thursday, October 26. Sacred Heart will battle a Vikings team coming off a 50-0 league win over North Central (Lebeau, LA). The Vikings record now stands at 5-3.
