In Friday's non-league battle, the host Hanson Beavers volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Viborg/Hurley Cougars.
The Beavers (9-18) will now prepare for their battle against McCook Central/Montrose (Salem, SD). The Fighting Cougars come into the non-league battle with a 5-19 record. In their last battle, McCook Central/Montrose lost by Canistota (Canistota, SD), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Cougars encounter the Alcester-Hudson Cubs (Alcester, SD) in a non-league battle, on Monday, October 23. Viborg/Hurley will attempt to advance on its 7-18 season record. The Cubs come into the battle with a 17-9 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Freeman Academy/Marion (Freeman, SD).
