The Newton South Lions topped the visiting Wayland Warriors volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Friday's league test.

The Lions now have a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Acton-Boxborough for a non-league test on Monday, October 23. Newton South will confront a Colonials team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Newton North (Newtonville, MA). The Colonials record now stands at 10-5.

The Warriors (10-7) will now prepare for their test against Bedford (Bedford, MA). The Buccaneers enter the Dual County test with a 0-7 record.
