Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets (New Roads, LA) backers were pleased Monday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host North Iberville Bears (Rosedale, LA), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Hornets (13-12) will now prepare for their challenge against St. John (Plaquemine, LA). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 12-14 record. In their last challenge, St. John beat Louisiana School for the Deaf (Baton Rouge, LA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bears meet the St. Helena College and Career Academy Hawks (Greensburg, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 21. North Iberville will attempt to improve on its 11-9 season record. The Hawks go into the test with a 1-15 record after their 3-0 league loss to Doyle (Livingston, LA).
