Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Rawlins County Buffaloes (Atwood, KS) and the visiting Sterling Black Bears (Sterling, KS), observed Rawlins County's volleyball team top Sterling by a tally of 2-0.

The Buffaloes (23-14) will now prepare for their contest against Trego (WaKeeney, KS). The Golden Eagles go into the non-league test with a 11-21 record. In their last test, Trego was defeated by Dighton (Dighton, KS), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Black Bears now own a 15-19 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Medicine Lodge for a non-league test on Monday, October 20. Sterling will encounter a Indians squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, KS). The Indians record now stands at 31-4.
