The Gretna Hawks topped the visiting Altavista Colonels football team by a count of 41-19 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Gretna upgrades its record to 3-5 on the season. The Hawks travel to Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA) to confront the Trojans in a non-league outing on Friday, October 28. The Trojans go into the outing with a record of 0-8. Tunstall lost 48-14 in their recent league outing against Martinsville (Martinsville, VA)

With the loss, Altavista moves to 0-8 on the season. The Colonels host Nelson County (Lovingston, VA) to confront the Governors in a Dogwood outing on Friday, October 28. The Governors go into the outing with a record of 1-7. Nelson County lost 50-13 in their recent league outing against Dan River (Ringgold, VA)
