In Friday's non-league match, the host Petersburg Vikings football squad scored a big 70-35 victory over the Clear Spring Blazers.
In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Tucker County Mountain Lions (Hambleton, WV) in a Potomac Valley II match, on Friday, October 28. Petersburg will attempt to move on its 7-1 season record. The Mountain Lions enter the match with a 8-0 record after their 42-14 non-league win over Gilmer County (Glenville, WV).
The Blazers (1-7) will now prepare for their match against Hancock (Hancock, MD). The Panthers enter the Washington County match with a 0-8 record. In their last match, Hancock was crushed by Clay-Battelle (Blacksville, WV), 35-12, in a non-league match.
