Tennessee High School Football - Covington beaten by Haywood

The Haywood Tomcats topped the host Covington Chargers football team by a count of 34-17 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Haywood upgrades its record to 9-0 on the season. The Tomcats travel to Obion County (Troy, TN) to confront the Rebels in a 4A Region 7 outing on Friday, October 28. The Rebels go into the outing with a record of 5-4. Obion County won 42-21 in their recent non-league outing against Dresden (Dresden, TN)

With the loss, Covington moves to 7-2 on the season. The Chargers host Bolton (Arlington, TN) to confront the Wildcats in a 3A Region 7 outing on Friday, October 28. The Wildcats go into the outing with a record of 2-7. Bolton lost 42-0 in their recent non-league outing against Oakhaven (Memphis, TN)
